News
According to a DTI survey in 1999, 62% of businesses had access to the internet.           96% of these businesses used the internet to gather information      56% of these businesses used the internet for advertising or marketing
The Internet is changing the market for professional services. Businesses are turning increasingly to the internet to locate information and services. Standard contracts and advice are already available directly on line, in some cases completely eliminating the need for personal consultation.

These changes present a massive challenge to established professional advisers, but they also create opportunities to communicate with clients in new ways.
  • Opportunities to place your services in front of clients just at the moment when they are looking for assistance.
  • Opportunities that can be realized through the Bizwise web site.
Please read on for more information or to enter your organisation, register or log-on via 'sponsor log on' to the left and use the blue button bars to select your entry type.
What is Bizwise?
  • Bizwise is a web-based service, providing news, briefings and guidance for small and medium businesses.
  • The Bizwise site is unique in providing briefings, guidance and comment written by many different professional advisers.
  • No other service offers a similar opportunity for professionals to communicate their expertise, generate new business, and potentially make a profit from e-commerce.
  • Bizwise will be strongly marketed to the directors and proprietors of the 1.3 million small to medium businesses in the UK.

What can be included?
  • You can provide news, guidance, comments, standard contracts, forms, procedures, checklists or more - many of which could already be available in your standard documents, newsletters or website. All your entries are referenced back to your firm for further information.
  • The information you provide can be free to clients or paid for. The choice is up to you. Bizwise will handle secure credit card payment from visitors and credit your account for every chargeable download.
  • Your events such as seminars, exhibitions and training courses can be promoted in the diary.
  • Your firm can be included in our directory, and promoted further through an enhanced entry or a full company page.

What is the target audience?
Proprietors and directors of businesses with 4 to 50 employees throughout the UK are the target. Most of these organizations do not have specialist departments to handle professional and legal issues, so decisions are made by the directors and proprietors themselves.
They will use the internet to find information and advisers, but they don't have time to browse endlessly. The clear focus and underlying technology of the Bizwise site will provide them with the results they require.
They have the authority to make decisions immediately. They appoint advisers, and where chargeable advice is offered on line, the cost is unlikely to be a major issue for them.

How does Bizwise address regional issues?
All searches take account of the location of the visitor to favour local sources. This means that if a large number of articles address a single topic, local results are towards the top of the list. If you post items of a more specialised nature, your articles will be accessed from a bigger geographical area.

If your posting has a particular regional significance, like an item on regional grants, you can highlight this in the keywords and in the introductory text.

Items specific to the regulations in Scotland are particularly welcome, and this should be made clear in the posting.

If you have a national network of offices, you can register all of them on the Directory and Advice database, so that local clients contact them directly. You can post the same articles across all offices, or can choose to add a local flavour.

How is traffic generated?
  • The site content is clearly focused and well structured to provide compelling value for the target audience. Daily updates provide continuing interest so that visitors return again and again.
  • The extensive marketing programme provides much more awareness than could ever be achieved by any single firm of advisers.
  • On going promotion includes national advertising, PR, on-line marketing, cooperative marketing and more.

Why act now?
The internet has already happened. Even in 1999, 62% of businesses had access to the internet, and of these, 96% used it to gather information. Very few firms can afford to miss this revolution in communication.

Early entrants will establish a lead position. Early and popular articles will accumulate hits longer and will be more likely to be used for special promotion both on and off the site. Those who ‘wait and see’ will have fewer pieces of information on site, will lose out on new client opportunities, and receive fewer royalties.

You don’t need to have a website, nor pay for expensive e-commerce facilities. Bizwise will handle secure credit card payment from visitors and credit your account for every chargeable download. These secure facilities could cost you thousands of pounds to implement for yourself. And you can make money straight away
